Sakura trees planted at Stirling to celebrate thriving friendship with Japan

Thirty cherry blossom trees have been planted at the University of Stirling’s campus as a mark of the friendship between the University and Japan.

Senior representatives from Stirling and Nagasaki University, who signed a Memorandum of Understanding last year, were joined by Japanese Consul General in Edinburgh, Katsutoshi Takeda, and Cultural Consul Masataka Abe for an unveiling ceremony – with a plaque installed at one of the planting sites beside the Beech Court student accommodation.
